1. It is mainly used as a solvent for coatings, printing inks, etc. It is also a commonly used industrial dehydrating agent, an extractant in pharmaceutical production, and a component in fragrances.

It is mainly used as an extraction solvent for pharmaceuticals, a coating solvent, a printing ink solvent, a chemical reaction solvent, etc. It has a fruity odor and an apple-like aroma when diluted. It occurs naturally in pineapple, pear, cocoa, etc. It is a permitted edible flavor specified in China’s GB 2760-86. It is mainly used as a solvent for preparing rum flavorings and fruit-type flavors.
